MiNI-Q
MiNI-Q stands for Miniature, No-wire, Intelligent Quadruped.
A derived design to the original Q8bot, this quadruped features overhauled electronics, updated form factor, while remaining largely compatible to the original software architecture. MiNI-Q has been optimized for higher performance, though this comes with increased complexity and cost compared to Q8bot. There are still zero wires and cables involved in the building process.
Technical Details:
- Printed with SLS Nylon 12 (body & legs) and SLA Clear (cover)
- Powered by Dynamixel XL330-M077-T motors
- Custom 4-layer PCB with upgraded power management, charging, IMU, and integrated ESP32C3 MCU with antenna.
- Currently experimenting with various leg mechanisms.
Skills:
- Mechanical design (CAD)
- Electronics (PCB) Design
- Advanced 3D printing (SLA, SLS)
- Python & C++ firmware
MiNI-Q jumps higher than Q8bot thanks to the upgraded power delivery system
